We received the following very kind thank you note from the Junior League of Little Rock. Thank you to the Junior League for letting us be a part of their “Stuff the Bus” drive.

Water to Wine Tweetup
Join central Arkansas’s tweeters at one of Little Rock’s coolest hot-spots, ZIN Urban Wine and Beer Bar, in the popular downtown 3rd Street district.
The owners of ZIN, Troy Deal and Michael Puckett, are excited we’re coming! They’ll put out a FREE snack spread just for us, in addition to offering fantastic happy-hour wine and beer specials.
ZIN offers a hip, non-smoking environment perfect for chatting up your old and new Twitter buds.
So…where does the “water to wine” theme come in?
I’ve wanted to do something to help Aaron Reddin (@HomelessHeretic) with his very important homeless aid project, the cornerstone of which is “The Van.” Perhaps you have, too. This is your chance!
Our homeless neighbors served by The Van are in constant need of bottled water. If everyone who attends the Tweetup brings a 6-pack (or more) of bottled WATER to the WINE bar, we’d amass a substantial donation.
Get it? WATER will lead you to WINE! Of course cash (or check) donations will also be appreciated.
Special appearance! Aaron and The Van itself will be with us at the Tweetup. They may even bring some T-shirts and arm bands.
Make plans now to join us September 27!
For more information about The Van and its mission, visit TheOneInc.org and read this story from Sync Weekly.
Help us spread the word by inviting friends through our Water to Wine Facebook Event.
Thanks! @AshAhrens
Back to School Tweetup
Little Rock TweetUp is going back-to-school… or at least helping students get their learning on.
We’ve teamed up with the Junior League of Little Rock to Stuff the Bus. Each year, JLLR supplies students in the Little Rock School District, identified as “most in need,” with the essentials to succeed academically.
Join us Thursday, August 25 at 5:30 p.m. Copper Grill. They will prepare a signature appletini for the evening. We’ll be in the party room in the back.
Admission for the evening is school supplies. Requested items:
- school glue
- 24-count crayons
- loose-leaf wide ruled notebook paper
- #2 pencils
Y’all know I am shameless. I am a Southern woman, and I will go to the guilt if I have to. I fully expect big participation on this school supplies drive. We have shown in the past we can do impressive things. Let’s do it again.

Cook Out at Pinnacle Mountain
We’re super stoked about this month’s LRTweetup at Pinnacle Mountain State Park on Thu July 21, 5:30p.
@PetitJeanMeats is providing grillers (read: big ol’ hot dogs) and Polish sausage for the cookout and @sweetlovebakes will bring the delicious with a whole heap of cookies.
More surprises may be in store… so pay attention!
All we ask is that you bring a side dish, so we can do this thing family potluck style. It’s just $5 a plate, and every single dime will go to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation. Feel free to RSVP via Facebook and pay at the pavilion.
Thanks to @SavannahB for organizing and @LRfamily for co-sponsoring the event.
Travs Tweetup
Dust off your mitts and break out the cracker jack because we’re headed to the ballpark.
Join us on Thursday May 19 at Dickey-Stephens park to cheer on the Arkansas Travelers.
We’ll gather in the right field berm area near the playgrounds so make sure to bring the kids. Trav’s tickets are $6 and game time is 7pm.
See you there.
Reach Out and Read
Join us for our annual giving back event! Last year, we raised money for a great cause that is near and dear to a lot of us – reading!
This year, we’re continuing our efforts. Reach Out & Read is a statewide nonprofit that prepares Arkansas’ youngest children to succeed in school by partnering with doctors to prescribe books and encourage families to read together.
April’s #LRTweetup will benefit Reach Out & Read. We’re asking you to come and enjoy some fabulous wine and appetizer specials at Ferneau and support a great cause. We’ll be in the party room and have the joint to ourselves, so there will be plenty of room to mingle, network and catch up with new and old friends.
The cost is $10 and a new or gently used children’s book. Ferneau will have some amazing wines provided by Natural State Distributing at an amazing price, and Chef Donnie is planning some equally amazing small plates to go along with those.
Attendees can pay at the door or order your ticket online here. Food and beverages will be additional, but cheap!
We hope to see you at Ferneau on April 21! Let’s make sure Arkansas’ kids begin a love of reading early!
