Localizing your Twitter stream

LRTweetup’s first goal is to act as a connection catalyst. Through our online community and offline events we hope to be a community that makes introductions and allows good friends to continue to connect.

Personally I’ve discovered that connecting with more locals through Twitter has added a ton of value and interaction to my Twitter stream. A few months ago if I needed local info or wanted to be plugged into local events Twitter wasn’t very useful. The Little Rock community wasn’t very active on Twitter and I didn’t know many locals that used Twitter. LRTweetup radically solved that problem. It’s been such a amazing benefit that we’ve been looking for a way for you to easily increase the number of awesome local folks in your Twitter stream.

Introducing the TweepML LRTweetup List

TweepML.or is a new service that allows you to build a group of users that others can easily follow. We jumped at the opportunity to build a LRTweetup list so interested people can increase their local connections in a single click.

The list can be found at http://tweepml.org/LRTweetup

This list currently includes 37 people and it’s by no means comprehensive, so we are asking for your help. You can suggest people to be included on this list by following the links on the sidebar of the page, look for “Suggest to the List Creator”.

This is such a great way to help others plug into the larger LRTweetup community so please follow and suggest so we can help everyone localize their Twitter community.
