July Wrap Up

by Keith on August 2, 2009 in Events

Our July gathering was another great success and I just wanted to take a moment and express some thanks to a few folks that helped make our gathering so wonderful.

First, I’d like to say a big Thank you to the Copper Grill (@CopperGrill). You were fantastic hosts. The food and free appetizers were delicious and you went above and beyond all our expectations. Personally, this was my first visit to your restaurant and I can assure you that I can’t wait to return. Thank you for hosting such a great LRTweetup.

We always like to encourage or members to rate and review the venues that we visit. So if you’d like to rate your experience at the Copper Grill please visit them on UrbanSpoon and/or Yelp.

Second, I’d like to thank Paul Strack (@pstrack) of CustomXM.com for hitting a homerun with the name badges. Paul had expressed his desire to do this for the community but we weren’t expecting them until August and then Paul pulled it off for July. The badges were perfect. Getting good preprinted name badges for our meetups can be a real challenge but we recognize that this helps people identify and connect with others. We are very grateful for Paul sacrificing his company’s time and resources just to make these nametags available. We may be able to build on this for next time so you want to make sure that you RSVP to our next LRTweetup. As we have already hinted we’ve got some more cool things in the works.

If you are looking for On-Demand, Web to Print, or Targeted Marketing services you need to look no further than CustomXM. Central Arkansas is fortunate to have such an innovative and personable organization right in our back yard. Thanks to Paul and CustomXM for their service to LRTweetup.

We’d also like to thank those that work behind the scenes to organize and plan these events. Bryan Jones (@BryanJones) of CJRW (@cjrwInteractive), Natalie Ghidotti (@ghidotti) of Ghidotti Communications, Angel Galloway (@Angelmg) from the Arkansas Repertory Theatre (@theRep), and Lance Turner (@LT)from Arkansas Business (@ArkBusiness).

Last and not least we want to THANK YOU! You have made this the most interesting and vibrant community in Central Arkansas and its a joy to be able to help you connect with others. Thanks LRTweetup!

Golden Welcome from the Copper Grill

by Keith on July 21, 2009 in Events

The July LRTweetup is just 2 days away and we are thrilled to announce a few of the wonderful specials that the Copper Grill has created for the occasion.

CGG-Menu-FacePlate First you will be pleased to know that Happy Hour pricing will be extended throughout the evening so you can be sure to double up your orders of the latest LRTweetup adult concoction. Yes you heard right. The Copper Grill has created a drink that may be more appropriately named than we care to admit, introducing the Dirty Bird. (Personally I can’t wait to hear the first utterance of “Make me a Dirty Bird”). Rest assured we will be contacting the Guinness Book of World Records because we are confident that we are the first Tweetup group in the history of mankind to have not one, but two drinks created in our honor.

For your culinary gratification you can also expect the following “First Impressions” to be served in a private room:

*Warm Camembert- on Plank: Oven-broiled on a cedar plank and garnished with fig jam and baguette slices.
*Artisan Cheese Flight: A selection of gourmet cheeses, caperberries and buttered baguette slices. Daily cheese selections from our grocery, Served with an encrusted goat cheese round.
*Confetti Dip: A blend of garden-fresh vegetables and creamy cheese with just a touch of jalapeno for spice. Served with crispy pita chips.
*Not Your Mom’s Homemade Mac & Cheese Balls: Mac and cheese balls encrusted in oriental bread crumbs and served with blackberry dipping sauce.
*Grilled Flat Breads
-*Steak and bleu with caramelized onions.
-*Goat cheese with wild mushrooms and shaved parmesan.
-*Margarita with buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and tomatoes.
-*Grilled chicken with 3 cheeses, caramelized onions and jalapeno.
*To Celebrate Copper Grill’s second birthday, complimentary homemade desserts will also be served throughout the Tweetup

As if the drink specials and taste-bud thrills aren’t enough the Copper Grill is offering Arkansas’ most valuable natural resource.
