#LRtweetup Tonight, #4sqday Tomorrow

Being Grateful on Apr 15th

It’s April 15th, and while we may not relish this date normally this day is different because LRtweetup is tonight.

Tonight is a really special event because @Heifer is screening their documentary “12 Stones”. This 22 minute film tells the story of how Heifer is helping transform communities in Nepal.

We are extremely honored to have Heifer host this tweetup event as part of their Pass on the Gift month and we hope that we as a community can help raise awareness about @PassontheGift and Heifer’s amazing work.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about Heifer’s mission, see a great documentary, socialize with friends, and experience their beautiful campus.

We hope to see all of you tonight.

Foursquare in the Rock

Friday offers another great opportunity to connect with our community personally and professionally as Little Rock celebrates Foursquare Day.

What is Foursquare Day?

Foursquare Day is an international celebration of the power of social media in local communities. It started as an idea from one guy in Tampa, FL and has exploded into a network of events from China to the Czech Republic.

It’s purpose is to bring people together and encourage them to visit local businesses, organized around the Foursquare social application.

We heard about #4sqday and thought, “getting together is something we do best, and we are all about local business, let’s have Foursquare day in Little Rock”.

This Friday we have a midday meetup at the Rivermarket which includes a swarm attempt (50+ folks) and local businesses are getting on board to promote Foursquare Day in the Rock and offer special deals.

Here’s how to get involved. Visit LR4sqday.com, Become a fan of LittleRock4sqday on Facebook, and follow @lr4sqday

We need you to get involved to make the swarm a success and we are still looking for other businesses to create incentives for people to come by this Friday
